...my home away from home. I've attempted to translate my deep roots (pun intended) from the woods of Western NY into something palpable through the use of Gold Leaf, Paper, Pressed Grass, repurposed Wood, Acrylics, Oils, Silicone, and Resin on Canvas.
These intricate pieces vary in size from 4' x 2', 4' x 3', and 6' x 5' and are comprised of strong sculptural elements within the paintings.

Moments in Time
As a means to create the 'essence of being' through movement or stillness, I used a combination of Acrylic, Wax, Oil, Pastels, Rust, and Liquid Iron on Canvas. These pieces vary in size from 8' x 3', 3' x 2' and 5' x 4'.
In an attempt to capture the freedom, strength and spirit of the wild horse, strong earth elements of Iron, Water, and Rust were used, along with Acrylic on Canvas.
The largest commissioned horse piece "Soul Sisters", an 8' x 3' Acrylic and Oil on Canvas, was a special journey and a labor of love. Broadening my horizons with a new size of format, this piece continues to inspire me to create on a larger scale.
This portrait was a unique creation of texture and depth from its conception. Not having worked with wax prior to this, I decided to explore it's malleability and form alongside my other more commonly used mediums. The resulting portrait evoked a soulful sentiment for my father, and needless to say, it currently hangs on the wall of his home in NY.

The Abstract World
...of color and texture. Taking a departure from my usual representational style, my abstract pieces allow me the expression of freedom of form in an adventurous and spirited way. The arbitrary way with which I blend techniques and mediums (often rotating the canvas as I work), gives birth to an unexpected compilation of color, texture, and design.
The following pieces include Acrylic, Oil, Paper, Liquid Iron, Rust, and Resin on Canvas or Wood.
